Acceptance of Terms. By paying your non-refundable deposit you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. No signature is required. Payment of the deposit constitutes your acceptance.
1. About Valo Training
Valo Training is a trading name of DiscoverChange Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 10307172). We deliver the LCL Awards Level 3 Award in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (IVPICR22), equivalent to the City and Guilds 2391-52.
Theory is delivered via live remote sessions. Practical assessment takes place at approved partner centres in the UK. Valo Training is responsible for theory delivery and the qualification pathway. Practical assessment is conducted by and is the responsibility of the relevant partner centre. Certification is issued by LCL Awards.
2. Payment
2.1 Payment Options
The total course fee is £949 per learner, payable in stages, or £899 if paid in full at point of enrolment.

2.2 Single Payment and Refund Position
If you pay in full (£899), £350 of that payment is treated as the non-refundable deposit. The remaining £549 is refundable if you cancel before the first theory session begins. No refund is available after theory has started.
2.3 Missed Payments
If a staged payment is not received by the due date, Valo Training will contact you. If payment remains outstanding after five working days, your place on the cohort may be reallocated. The non-refundable deposit will not be returned.
3. Cancellation
3.1 Cancellation Before Theory Begins
If you cancel before the first theory session, your £350 deposit is retained. Any payments made above the deposit will be refunded.
3.2 Cancellation During Theory
If you cancel after theory sessions have begun, the deposit is retained. Whether any balance above the deposit is refunded will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the stage reached and the circumstances.
3.3 Cohort Minimum
A minimum of six enrolled learners is required for a cohort to proceed. If this minimum is not reached, you will be offered either a place on the next available cohort or a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit. You will be notified no later than three weeks before the scheduled start date.
4. Non-Attendance
4.1 Theory Sessions
You are expected to attend all live theory sessions. Sessions are not routinely recorded for distribution. If you miss a session, session notes will be made available and you are responsible for covering the material before the next session. We do not offer one-to-one catch-up sessions for missed theory.
4.2 Assessment Day
If you do not attend your booked assessment day without notifying Valo Training in advance, you will be offered a place on the next available cohort assessment date, subject to availability. This is not necessarily the next scheduled cohort and is dependent on partner centre capacity.
A second failure to attend a booked assessment day will require payment of the assessment rebooking fee before a new date is confirmed. This fee covers the partner centre assessment cost plus a £50 Valo Training administration charge. The theory element does not need to be repeated. The rebooking fee will be confirmed in writing before you commit.
5. Assessment and Mock Assessment
Your assessment day will not be booked until you have completed and passed the mock assessment. The mock assessment is a readiness check, not a hurdle. If you do not pass the mock assessment at the first attempt, one free revision session will be offered before a further attempt.
This process is in place to give you the best possible chance of passing first time.
6. Resit Policy
If you do not pass the practical assessment, a resit can be arranged. Resit fees are passed through to you at cost, covering the assessment centre and any LCL Awards fees. Valo Training does not apply any margin to resit costs.
Resit arrangements are made directly with the relevant partner centre. Valo Training will facilitate the booking and confirm costs before you commit.
7. Tutor Cancellation
In the event that a scheduled theory session cannot proceed, you will be notified as soon as possible and a minimum of 24 hours in advance except in cases of genuine emergency. Notification will be sent to your registered email address.
A replacement session will be offered at no additional cost. If two or more sessions in a single cohort are cancelled by Valo Training, a £50 discount will be applied to your final payment.
8. Referral Programme
8.1 Graduate Referrals
If you have completed a Valo Training course and refer another learner who goes on to enrol and pay in full, you will receive a £50 Screwfix or Toolstation voucher and the referred learner will receive £50 off their course fee. Rewards are issued only after the referred learner's full payment is confirmed.
8.2 Non-Graduate Referrals
If you refer a learner to Valo Training but have not yourself completed a Valo Training course, and that learner goes on to enrol and pay in full, you will receive a £30 Screwfix or Toolstation voucher. This applies to companies, training centres, recruitment agencies, and other individuals referring on behalf of Valo Training.
8.3 Self-Referral
Referral rewards cannot be applied to your own enrolment. A learner may not refer themselves, create duplicate accounts, or use referral codes in any way intended to generate a personal discount not available to other learners. Any attempt to do so will result in the referral being void and the enrolment reviewed.
8.4 Referral Codes
Referral codes are issued on request and are personal to the referrer. No public discount code exists. If you have been referred by someone, contact us before booking at hello@valotraining.co.uk and we will apply the relevant discount to your enrolment.
9. Data Handling
DiscoverChange Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in accordance with UK GDPR. Your personal data is collected for the purpose of administering your enrolment, delivering the qualification, and communicating with you about your course.
Your data will be shared with LCL Awards and the relevant assessment partner centre for qualification administration purposes only. Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting hello@valotraining.co.uk.
10. Liability
Valo Training is responsible for the quality and delivery of the theory programme and the overall qualification pathway experience.
Practical assessment is conducted by our approved partner centres. Valo Training is not liable for the conduct, decisions, or outcomes of the assessment process, which is the responsibility of the partner centre under their LCL Awards approval.
Certification is issued by LCL Awards. Valo Training has no control over and accepts no liability for certification timescales or outcomes once results have been submitted.
11. Changes to These Terms
Valo Training reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Any changes will be communicated to enrolled learners by email. The version in effect at the time of your enrolment governs your agreement with us unless you are notified of and accept revised terms.
